The SBU detained Mykola Derevyanka, a member of the Odesa Regional Council from the "EU" party, and his wife on suspicion of organizing a raider seizure of 280 hectares of land near the sea.
The extras tried to seize the premises of JSC "Ukrposhta" near the coastal protection strip in the village of Zatoka and illegally alienate agricultural land with a total area of almost 280 hectares. Moreover, they acted as part of an organized criminal group.
In order to implement the arrangement, its participants forged ownership documents and, through a controlled notary, registered the plot of land for fictitious persons.
Then they transferred the "reissued" state property into the possession of an affiliated commercial structure.
Thanks to the prompt response of the SBU, it was possible to prevent the appropriation of state real estate worth tens of millions of UAH.
Now the buildings and the adjacent territory of Ukrposhta on the Black Sea coast have been returned to the ownership of the state enterprise, and the land plots have been seized.
On the basis of the evidence collected by the Security Service, the deputy of the regional council was detained and notified of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- Part 3 of Art. 28 (commitment of a crime by a group of persons, a group of persons based on a prior conspiracy, an organized group or a criminal organization);
- ch. 3, 4 Art. 358 (forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps);
- Part 4 of Art. 190 (fraud committed on a particularly large scale or by an organized group).
The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention with an alternative bail of 24,5 million hryvnias.
The deputy's wife and his assistant were informed of the suspicion of falsification of documents and their use, fraudulent acquisition of state property and its legalization, committed by an organized group based on a prior conspiracy.
