In the center of Kyiv, a memorial plaque was opened to journalist Georgy Gongadze, who disappeared exactly 20 years ago, after which his body was found in a forest near Kyiv. This is reported by "Ukrainian Truth».
The memorial plaque is installed on the building of the National Union of Journalists at Khreshchatyk, 27-a. The city provided funds for the production of the board.
The author of the memorial is the sculptor Vasyl Markush. By the way, the work has been coordinated with the journalist's family, in particular, with his wife Myroslava Gongadze.
It should be noted that the masterminds of Gongadze's murder have not yet been punished.
