The former colonel of the National Police Yury Goluban was detained by the police in connection with the preparation of mass riots in Ukraine. The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrsky, confirmed on the air "Freedom of speech on ICTV" that Goluban is one of the organizers. It was he who had to attract about 200 of "his people".
In the video footage of the detention, props for the same provocation protest and posters "Say NO to tariff genocide!" are visible. and "High tariffs instead of fighting corruption!".
The investigation establishes in whose interests the ex-policeman organized "actions", who was the customer.
What is known about Golubane
Yury Goluban is a veteran of the "Alpha" unit of the SBU of the Donetsk region. In 2014, he joined the "Kyiv-1" battalion, served in ATO hot spots, commanded a special forces company at the National Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.
In 2017, the SBU opened criminal proceedings against Goluban. Ego was suspected of treason. Investigators claimed that he fought on the side of the DPR militants, but there was no exact evidence of his guilt.
In February 2019, the then head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Arsen Avakov, stated that an investigation was conducted against Goluban and he was fired from law enforcement agencies.
According to the media, until 2014, Goluban worked in the "A" department of the Donetsk regional SBU under the leadership of Alexander Khodakovsky, who defected to the DPR and headed the "Vostok" battalion.
Khodakovsky himself claimed that Goluban allegedly fought in his battalion and had the callsigns "Vampire" and "Dragon".
