For example, in December 2021, SE "KTO" handled 37856 TEU, which is an absolute record for monthly transshipment of containers by terminals in Ukraine over the past 12 years!
"Despite adverse external factors related to the complex epidemic situation worldwide and disruptions in logistics supply chains, which led to a certain decrease in the total volume of container cargo on the Ukrainian market in 2021 compared to 2020, our company increased its container turnover last year in TEU by 5,1% due to the development of existing and the attraction of new services to our clientele, which uses the high level of service of SE "KTO" according to European standards," commented General Director of SE "KTO" Anastas Kokkin.
Thus, in August 2021, the Medkon container line opened a new weekly service at the terminal, which provides significant opportunities for increasing container cargo flows.
"In addition, at the end of last year, our numerous clients received the expected next upgrade of the modern and high-tech web service of SE "KTO". First of all, a new module of the web portal was launched for issuing electronic orders for loading containers onto ships, which indicates the successful continuation of the terminal's implementation of modern IT solutions and digitization of document management," said Igor Yarovenko, the executive director for commerce of SE "KTO".
As a reminder, SE "Container Terminal Odesa" is a subsidiary of the German logistics concern HHLA AG (head office - Hamburg, Germany). It has been operating the container terminal of the Odesa port since July 01.07.2021, XNUMX and is the leader of the domestic container transshipment market in ports and one of the leading players in the Black Sea container market.
