Great Britain does not object if Ukraine uses British weapons on the territory of Russia. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, David Cameron, during his visit to Kyiv, writes Reuters.
According to him, Ukraine has the right to use weapons provided by London to strike targets inside the Russian Federation. The decision remains with Ukraine.
"Ukraine has the right to this. In the same way as Russia strikes inside Ukraine," — he said.
In addition, the minister said that the United Kingdom will provide Ukrainians with three billion pounds ($3,74 billion) in military aid each year. It will last "as long as it takes."
“We will provide three billion pounds every year for as long as it takes. We simply exhausted everything we could in terms of providing equipment." he said in an interview with Reuters during a visit to Kyiv, adding that the aid package was the largest from the UK so far.
The head of British diplomacy also praised the US Congress for approving the allocation of $60 billion in aid to Ukraine. According to him, this is important not only from a military point of view, because the Defense Forces will receive more weapons, but also for raising morale.
However, as reported, when Cameron was asked whether Donald Trump's re-election as US president could affect aid to Ukraine, he did not answer directly.
"It is not up to us to decide who the Americans will choose as their president - we will work with whoever it is." said the minister.
