It did not work: the court refused to reduce the bail of the vice mayor of Odessa for the second time

The official's lawyers tried to send him under house arrest or reduce the amount of the bail.

Today, December 28, the Appeals Chamber of the VACS considered the appeals of the defenders of the deputy mayor of Odesa Oleg Bryndak and left them unchanged. This was reported in the press service of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court.

Bryndak's defenders demanded that he be sent under house arrest or that the suspect's bail be reduced. The amount is 24,9 million hryvnias. Moreover, this is already a "discounted" option: according to the first decision of VAX, the deputy mayor had to pay about 40 million.

At the end of last week for an official have made this sum and he was released from the Lukyanovsk pre-trial detention center. According to the vice mayor, his relatives and friends found the money.

As a reminder, December 10, VAKS arrested Bryndaka for 60 days with the possibility of making a deposit. He is suspected of abuse of official duties and participation in a scheme to allocate almost 16 hectares for development, due to which the city budget lost more than half a billion hryvnias.
