The art installation "House. Memories". Such a project was developed by the Ukrainian architectural bureau balbek bureau.
The structure is planned to be sent to the icebreaker station in January 2022.
"For our researchers, this is a living memory of the house. For tourists, it is an opportunity to get to know Ukraine through a visual image familiar to us, but not a banal one," the message says.
The installation should be installed around the fuel tank located at the entrance to the station and appearing in most tourist photos. Construction will begin on the example of a traditional Ukrainian house.
According to the architects, the installation should resemble a pencil sketch - as if someone remembers his house and makes a sketch from memory.
The team set itself the task of turning the old fuel tank into an "attractive object for tourists that will organically fit into the Antarctic landscape."
