In the 11th round, the Ukrainian finally finished off his opponent. At first, Lomachenko knocked Kabosos down, but he got to his feet and was determined to continue the fight. However, Vasyl immediately pinned the Australian in the corner of the ring and forced him to kneel again - the referee intervened and stopped the match, recording the premature victory of our compatriot.
For Lomachenko, this was the first fight since May 2023, when he lost to the American Devin Gainey by unanimous decision in the fight for the title of absolute world champion in lightweight. Now the 36-year-old Ukrainian has 18 wins (12 by knockout) and 3 losses in the professional ring.
Kambosos suffered the third defeat in his career. The record of the 30-year-old Australian also includes 21 victories (10 by knockout).
