More than one and a half thousand residents of the house on Gagarinsky Plateau 5/2 continue to defend their home territory, protecting the safety of children. The city government does not stop trying to turn their home territory into a roadway.
The last conflict with the Odessa city government among residents occurred in August of this year. Then the city services decided to demolish the barrier at the entrance to the yard in order to turn the internal road into a public road.
The road, which they want to turn into a highway, passes near the children's playground. Children often play on it and mothers with strollers walk. Residents say that they will not allow the transformation of their home territory into a roadway, because they are afraid for the lives of their children.
At the same time, the tenants continue to seek a compromise with the authorities, so they submitted documents to the Odesa City Council with a request to transfer the land plot, which is located under the house and the territory adjacent to it, to the "Gagarynskoe Plateau 5/2" public housing association for permanent use. Deputies must vote for this decision at a city council session.
