On Friday, November 12, at the Odessa University, the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented to the staff and students the new acting rector of the university, Sergey Kuznychenko, who was appointed to this position by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
He is a doctor of legal sciences, a professor, an honored worker of science and technology of Ukraine and a corresponding member of the Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ekaterina Pavlychenko introduced the new head of the university to the team and personnel.
The event was also attended by the leaders of the city and region — the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional Council Oleg Radkovsky and the first deputy chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Boris Voloshenkov. Politicians congratulated Sergey Kuznychenko on his important appointment and noted that the regional council and the regional administration have always supported and will continue to support the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, since security in the region is one of the fundamental criteria for the economic and social development of the region.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ekaterina Pavlychenko, introducing the new head of the university, noted that the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs is an important component of the higher education system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, which has a very high potential and a long history.
"I am confident that thanks to the coordinated work of the entire team, and I emphasize once again that the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs really has very good and professional potential, it will be possible to build a quality education system," added the deputy minister.
In turn, in the ElitExpert commentary, the newly appointed head of the university, Sergey Kuznychenko, stated: "For me, it is a great honor and a great responsibility to head one of the oldest universities in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system. I will do everything possible that depends on me and does not depend on me to develop the university in the future."
