The president of Kyrgyzstan dismissed the government and the prime minister

He signed the corresponding decree on October 9

On October 9, Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed a decree on the resignation of the government and Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov. This is reported on the president's website.

In accordance with the decree, the Prime Minister, First Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the government will perform their duties until the formation of a new government.

The decree enters into force from the moment of signing.

Let us remind you that mass protests broke out in Kyrgyzstan after the parliamentary elections held on October 4. The protesters demanded to cancel the voting results. On the night of October 6, they captured the parliament building in Bishkek. During the clashes, more than a thousand people were injured, one died. Protesters secured the release of ex-president Almazbek Atambayev from prison. October 6 Jeenbekov declared a demand for power seizure.

As a result, the Central Election Commission declared the election results invalid.
