Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a group of people who tried to form their own "state" education in the town of Pryluky, Chernihiv Region. This was reported in the press service of the SBU.
the group included nine local residents who tried to create an "alternative" local self-government body in the city. In order to legalize the illegal structure, the defendants developed fake documents, in particular the charter of the "city council".
In addition, the attackers created their own page in one of the social networks, where they posted information with appeals to citizens to join pseudo-state education. The agitators planned to "disband" the local bodies of state power and local self-government in the city, for this purpose, information about the creation of a "liquidation commission" was disseminated.
As noted, during the searches, the law enforcement officers found office equipment, fake statutory documents, forms, certificates, seals, stamps and other items confirming illegal activity.
In fact, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Part 1 of Article 109 (actions aimed at the violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or at the seizure of state power) of the Criminal Code, now there is a pre-trial investigation to establish other persons involved in the activities of the group.
The issue of notification to the defendants about the suspicion and the selection of a preventive measure is resolved.
