Olympic Games-2022: Ukraine won the first medal in Beijing

Alexander Abramenko became the silver medalist.

Ukrainian freestyler Oleksandr Abramenko became the silver medalist of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in ski acrobatics. This medal was the first for Ukraine in Beijing-2022.

Abramenko went to the final with the fifth result. He had the best first jump, for which he received 123.53 points, ahead of only the Chinese Qi Guangpu (129.00 points).

Ukraine was also represented in this discipline by Oleksandr Okipniuk, who failed the first jump in the final, and the result of the second was not enough to get into the top 6. His best jump was rated at 122,01 points - 9th place.

Alexander Abramenko — 33-year-old Ukrainian freestyler, representative of Mykolaiv region at the 2022 Olympics. He is also the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic champion in ski acrobatics.
