Only 211 deputies remained in the "monomajority", which is less than necessary

The Committee of Voters of Ukraine gave its conclusion.

The Committee of Voters of Ukraine analyzed the results of voting for laws adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in 2020. In total, 230 laws were adopted in an hour. Deputies of "Servants of the People", which has coalition rights in the IX convocation of the Verkhovna Rada, secured 226 votes only when 16% of the laws were adopted. Yes, 226 or more deputies of the monomajority voted for 37 out of 230 laws.

All other laws would not have been adopted without the votes of other factions and groups of the Verkhovna Rada. At the same time, the absolute majority of projects were initiated by members of the ruling team themselves: the president, the government, and people's deputies of the monomajority.

In general, the indicators of the monomajority votes are constantly decreasing, starting with the work of the IX convocation of the BP. If in September 2019, on average, 231 people's deputies "servants of the people" voted for the adopted laws, then in September 2020 - 206 deputies, and in December 2020 - 211 deputies.

"De facto, the "servants of the people" are no longer capable of making laws on their own. Within an hour, 211 deputies remained in the monomajority, while at least 226 votes are needed to pass the law. Thus, without deputies from other factions and groups of the BP, the monomajority is actually incompetent," commented the monitoring results, Chairman of the KIU Aleksey Koshel.
