Strong frosts will come to the territory of Ukraine on Friday, a significant drop in temperature at night to -12-18 degrees below zero is expected. On Thursday, January 14, the press center of the State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the data of the UkrHydromet Center.
It is noted that severe frosts will last at least until January 19-20.
On Friday, in places in the northern regions it can be up to -21 degrees below zero, during the day up to -10-16 degrees below zero.
A significant drop in temperature is also expected in the Odesa region from Saturday onwards: at night to -11-13 degrees below zero, during the day to -9 degrees below zero.
Today, due to snowfalls and blizzards, a significant avalanche danger (level 3) is expected in the highlands of the Transcarpathian region.
The day before, it was reported that Ukraine is covered in snowfall. Dnipro, Odessa, Zaporozhye, Kharkov, Lviv and other cities were covered with snow.
