During the Easter Mass, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew called for exchanges between Ukraine and Russia based on the principle of "all for all". This is what the patriarch said said during the Easter liturgy.
During the liturgy, the spiritual leader of Orthodox Christians stated that he supports the idea of the public movement "Our way out" regarding the exchange of "all for all" between Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
"We pray for a just peace in long-suffering Ukraine. Spiritually, we support the "Our Exit" initiative regarding the exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine on the occasion of the great Easter holiday. This would be a very concrete expression of the power of the Resurrection. We ask the Lord of mercy to enlighten our minds and hearts, so that we can walk the path of truth and freedom, full of resurrection and hope, with the resurrected Christ on our lips." - said the Patriarch.
