People's deputy convicted of murder won the elections in the OTG

Former People's Deputy Viktor Lozinsky, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for murder, won the election for the head of the Podvysotsk united territorial community.

This is evidenced by the data of the local TIC.

— It is already possible to say that Viktor Lozinsky won the election of the head of Podvysotsk OTG. Currently, the advantage over the nearest pursuer is more than 700 votes. At the moment, 1125 voters voted for Lozynsky, and 416 voted for the nearest competitor, Valentina Stepanova, said Maryna Pychkur, head of the Podvysotsk Rural Territorial Election Commission.

Separate mass media write that the elections were held not far from the site of the murder.

We remind you that in 2011, Lozynskyi was sentenced to 15 years in prison for the murder of a local resident near Golovanovsk in June 2009. Then Lozinsky killed Valery Oliynyk, a resident of Kirovohrad Oblast, on a whim, inflicting many severe injuries on him for entering his property.

In 2013, his prison term was reduced to 10 years, and in 2014 he was released "for health reasons", but then he was again sent behind bars.

In 2016, Lozinsky's prison term was recalculated under the "Savchenko law", according to which a day in pretrial detention is counted as two, and he was released. In May 2019, the Dnipro District Court of Kyiv dismissed the conviction of the former People's Deputy.
