In Lviv, the priest privatized the church, which was built at the expense of the citizens' donations. He transferred the church itself to his daughter, and mortgaged the plot of land to his son-in-law.
This is reported by the NTA TV channel.
In particular, Father declared that the current church in which he serves is privately owned and installed new locks.
The privatization of the church was discovered quite by accident when the church was transferred to the OCU (for this it had to be re-registered). The priest secretly privatized the church back in 2009.
"Apparently, Father does not repent of his actions. Every Sunday, he conducts services in the church with people who support him. The rest of the believers are forced to pray in the street," the material says.
At the moment, local law enforcement officers are conducting a pre-trial investigation, a criminal case has been opened under the article of fraud.
