Ukraine received the second batch of AstraZeneca vaccines

It is used for vaccination of priority groups and people aged 65+

On April 23, Ukraine received the second batch of AstraZeneca vaccines against COVID-19 for free as part of the COVAX initiative. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Thus, UNICEF together with WHO delivered 367 200 doses of AstraZeneca-SKBio vaccine manufactured by SK Bioscience (South Korea).

This batch is used for vaccination of priority groups and people aged 65+.

The supply of vaccines within the framework of COVAX will continue: in total, by the end of the year, UNICEF will deliver preparations for vaccination to 8 million Ukrainians.

As a reminder, on April 16 as part of the COVAX initiative to Ukraine delivered 117 thousand doses of Pfizer vaccine.
