Chief sanitary doctor Ihor Kuzin said that outbreaks of Covid-19 have been recorded in three regions of Ukraine — in Ternopil, Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi. In these regions, the epidemic threshold of morbidity has already been exceeded, and, according to Cousin, the number of cases of COVID-19 continues to increase.
"We currently have 14 types of COVID-19 circulating. We are now seeing a significant deterioration in morbidity given the winter transition. We see that among all patients, 50% are both cases of illness and hospitalization. In particular, they are recorded among children. We see that the epidemiological threshold has been exceeded in three regions. These are Ternopil, Zhytomyr and Chernivtsi regions. These regions can already introduce certain anti-epidemiological restrictions," — he said.
In the last week alone, a 20% increase in morbidity was noted, while an average of 4200 patients were hospitalized.
In total, 56 deaths from coronavirus infection were registered in one week.
