The Ministry of National Defense of Turkey has announced the start of military exercises in the Mediterranean Sea. The agency writes about it "Anadolu».
The exercises are conducted in the marine zone to the south of the Anamur region.
"The closure of the maritime zone for navigation in this part of the Mediterranean Sea is valid until September 11," the message reads.
The notification for captains of Mediterranean ships was transmitted by the international automated notification system NAVTEX, which in ship navigation serves to transmit navigational and meteorological safety information.
