Ten Ukrainian pilots have already completed the basic flight training course on F-16 fighter jets. This is reported by the press service Ministry of Defense of Great Britain and General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The first Ukrainian pilots who underwent intensive training under the leadership of the Royal Air Force graduated," — told the British Ministry.
As noted in the department, after that the Ukrainian pilots will move on to the next stage of training in France.
"10 pilots received basic flight, ground and language training in Great Britain and will one day become the first line of defense, protecting the skies of Ukraine from Russian forces," - said the Ukrainian General Staff.
One of the Air Force pilots said that he enjoyed being in the United Kingdom and participating in this training program.
"The course was challenging and interesting, it made me a better pilot. I am grateful to Great Britain for supporting Ukraine, and I am also personally grateful to the instructors of the Royal Air Force for preparing me for the future," — he said.
