The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine presented the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security (TSSKIB). This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Culture, Alexander Tkachenko.
"Now we have a state mechanism for countering disinformation, which will allow us to protect the information space from distortions and intrusions," he noted.
CSKIB is aimed at combining the efforts of public organizations and authorities in the fight against disinformation, quickly responding to fakes, and also promoting Ukrainian narratives.
The head of the Center, Lyubov Tsybulskaya, presented the goals and objectives, as well as the expected results of the work.
"We want to create a powerful center with powerful expertise. The last seven years of the struggle with Russia have confirmed that we have this expertise, as well as a number of initiatives both at the state level and at the level of civil society. I call on all of us to unite, because we have the same goal and we are in this battle against the aggressor together," she emphasized.
In particular, CSKIB will focus its work on:
- strategic communications, including the development of counter-narratives of the Russian Federation, the implementation of information campaigns, the inclusion of Ukrainian narratives in the daily communication of the government;
- creation of an online resource that will actively respond to information attacks;
- regular notification of hybrid aggression by Russia at the international level, joint development of mechanisms to counter disinformation with international partners.
