The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy commented on the popularity of the Russian TV series "The Boy's Word" in Ukraine.
According to the statement of the press service, the protection of Ukraine is entrusted not only to the Armed Forces, but also to every person. Anyone who chooses Ukrainian content instead of Russian content is also resisting the enemy.
"A Russian-made series is spreading in the Ukrainian Internet space, particularly among teenagers, which directly spreads violence, crime and aesthetics inherent in the aggressor country. It contains hostile propaganda, the circulation of which in Ukraine in conditions of war is unacceptable." — the statement says Ministry of Culture on the Facebook page.
It is noted that Russian content is not broadcast on official Ukrainian platforms, so it can be found on pirated and Russian resources, which are illegal actions. The National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council has already added 22 Russian media services to the list of on-demand audiovisual media services and audiovisual service providers of the aggressor state as those that cannot be broadcast in Ukraine.
"We emphasize that for the information security of our country it is important to stop the distribution of Russian content through pirate and official platforms of the enemy in order to prevent the influence of Russian information and psychological operations on Ukrainians, and especially on teenagers," — the press service added.
The agency urged opinion leaders and every citizen of Ukraine to consciously make a decision and stop consuming Russian products forever.
