Today, November 7, Odessa mayor Gennady Trukhanov and indifferent Odessans brought flowers to the star of Mikhail Zhvanetsky on the Alley of Stars.
Mayor Gennady Trukhanov also initiated the installation of a monument to the legendary writer and satirist in Odessa.
The competition for the monument project will be announced soon.
"It will be absolutely right. Odessa style. A tribute of deep respect to the greatest Odessa citizen. We will announce a competition. In fact, I already did it. I will ask our chairman of the design commission, Mikhail Reva, to announce this to the creative teams and set certain deadlines, and then we will further determine the winner," Gennady Trukhanov emphasized.
The monument is planned to be installed on Zhvanetsky Boulevard of the same name.
