All participants in traffic accidents will be checked for intoxication. And also - on the use of drugs. The relevant bill was registered in the Verkhovna Rada. Now the police check people at their discretion.
According to the document, if there is at least one victim in the accident, law enforcement officers are obliged to check the drivers for alcohol consumption.
Also, law enforcement officers will have the right to detain the suspect and take him to a medical center for compulsory examination.
For now, this is only a draft law that has already been registered in the Rada. For this initiative to be effective, it must be supported by people's deputies, and then by the President.
