They will be taken off the train: quarantine raids are being prepared on the transport

The new restrictions will come into effect on October 21

"Ukrzaliznytsia" announced increased checks on flights due to new restrictions.

From October 21, when boarding, every conductor will check the ticket, passport and the corresponding vaccination certificate document (both paper and in the Diya application) or PCR or express test, which was done within 72 hours.

"These restrictions apply to long-distance interregional passenger services. All passengers traveling in the suburban train will continue to travel in the usual format. It is necessary to observe the mask regime," said Alexander Pertsovsky, the head of the passenger department of Ukrzaliznytsia.

He added that in the absence of the necessary documents on vaccination or testing, the conductors may not allow the passenger to board the train. Or, theoretically, it will land if the absence of the document was discovered later — but this question is still being worked on.

The fact is that stewards and conductors do not have the authority to disembark someone from the train. To do this, it is necessary that representatives of the police participate in inspections and control it.

Therefore, the UZ calls on the Ministry of Internal Affairs to participate in the verification of documents and the observance of quarantine, because they have more authority.

The company asks passengers to understand the queues at boarding, which may arise due to checking a large number of documents, and asks them to arrive at the station in advance, keep calm, and also keep their distance on the platform.

In addition, express testing points for COVID-19 will appear at the stations. They plan to deploy them at the country's largest railway stations.

As for city minibuses, the police during raids will not drop off passengers without protective masks and documents that confirm the safety of COVID-XNUMX. The protocols will be drawn up immediately for the carriers.

"No one will be dropped off from the transport. They will draw up an administrative protocol for the carrier. Therefore, drivers must check the presence of relevant documents in the possession of passengers," said the speaker of the National Police, Maryana Reva.

She added that no one has canceled fines for violating the mask regime by citizens of Ukraine, so it is unlikely that people without masks will go unpunished.
