Ukraine has fulfilled all seven recommendations of the European Commission, which were determined upon receiving candidate status. This can give a start to the negotiations on joining the EU.
About this reports informed Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The head of government made a corresponding statement after appointing the director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
"Now Ukraine has fulfilled all seven recommendations of the EU, which were determined when it received candidate status. This demonstrates our determination to move to the start of accession negotiations already this year," Shmyhal noted.
He added that the appointment of the NABU director completed the formation of Ukraine's anti-corruption infrastructure. Today, during the meeting, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Semen Kryvonos as the director of NABU.
Ukraine is a candidate for joining the EU in the summer of 2022.
