The Ministry of Health confirmed the registration in Ukraine of the anti-coronavirus vaccine CoronaVac, produced by the Chinese company Sinovac.
Deputy Minister of Health for European Integration Igor Ivashchenko said this at a briefing on March 10.
"Yesterday (March 9. — Ed.) the Ministry of Health made a decision on state registration for emergency medical use of a vaccine for the prevention of COVID-19 produced by the Sinovac company, which is called CoronaVac," Ivashchenko said.
According to him, this decision was made on the basis of studying the materials presented by the manufacturer, namely registration certificates, as well as a benefit-risk analysis.
We remind you that the contract for the supply of the vaccine of the Chinese manufacturer Sinovac Biotech Ukraine was concluded at the end of December 2020. It was about 1,9 million doses with the possibility, as stated in the Ministry of Health, to refuse the transaction and return the money paid in case of failure to confirm the sufficient effectiveness of the vaccine.
