The Secretary of the National Security Council believes that English should be the second language in Ukraine

He called the Russian language a remnant of the past from the USSR

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDO) Alexey Danilov, that the second language in Ukraine must necessarily be English, because knowing this language is a guarantee of the country's independence.

"To our deep regret, in 30 years we have not defined the Ukrainian language as the primary and fundamental language of our independence. And for 30 years, we have not paid attention to English, which should be a mandatory second language in the country. In order for you and I to be protected from the attacks from which we are suffering today, from the Russian Federation," said the Secretary of the National Security Council.

In addition, he called the Russian language a remnant of the past from the USSR, because at that time the total Russification of all countries entering the Soviet Union was taking place. And nowadays, Russia broadcasts its views on the entire territory of the former USSR precisely in Russian.

"I once again draw attention to the fact that the knowledge of the English language is the key to the independence of our country. English should be used from kindergarten and school... You don't need to teach it, you need to know it," Danilov summarized.
