Ukraine has promised the IMF that it will welcome 17 million people by the end of the year

This is stated in a memorandum on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine.

 "Acknowledging that vaccination efforts are key to supporting economic recovery, Ukraine has secured a sufficient supply of vaccines and aims to vaccinate at least 17 million people by the end of 2021."

The memorandum also added that the vaccines purchased by the Ukrainian government this year are enough to reach such an indicator.

As of November 23, 10 million Ukrainians had been fully vaccinated. 13 million people received the first dose.

In April, former Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov promised that 60-70% of Ukrainians would be vaccinated by the end of the year.

In an interview with "Ukrainskaya Pravda" in October, the current minister Viktor Lyashko assured that by the end of the year it is possible to vaccinate 70% of adult Ukrainians.
