The Ministry of Health is considering three scenarios of the development of a new wave of the coronavirus, the head of the department Viktor Lyashko said on the air of the Ukraina 24 channel.
"The Ministry of Health has a number of forecasts regarding the increase in the number of cases and the potential flow of a new wave. We have an optimal, pessimistic and moderate scenario of the flow of this wave. And the estimated number of beds that should be allocated in the future for the hospitalization of patients with coronavirus. How many beds should there be with oxygen and how many intensive care beds should there be, if suddenly there is a severe course of the disease," the minister said.
Now hospitals are actively stocking up on oxygen. 15 oxygen concentrators have already been purchased, which will treat or ease the course of the disease at the outpatient stage, when there will be no criteria for hospitalization.
The head of the Ministry of Health reminded that the Delta strain is spreading in Ukraine, which affects people more and is transmitted much more intensively from person to person.
The minister called for vaccination to avoid the collapse of the health care system.
Let's note the last two days more than a thousand cases of coronavirus are recorded in Ukraine — the maximum increase in almost two months.
