The Ministry of Health has added to the list of professions for which vaccination against COVID-19 is mandatory.
According to the order, employees are subject to mandatory vaccination against COVID-19:
- central bodies of executive power and their territorial bodies;
- local state administrations and structural subdivisions;
- established higher, post-graduate, professional pre-higher, professional (professional-technical), general secondary, including special, pre-school, out-of-school education, established specialized education;
- local governments;
- established health care of state and communal forms of ownership;
- communal enterprises, institutions and organizations.
"Employees of local self-government bodies, public and municipal health care institutions, as well as communal enterprises interact more with a large number of people, and therefore have an increased risk of being infected with the corona virus disease. Meanwhile, 9 out of 10 hospitalized are unvaccinated... This decision is necessary to protect the lives and health of Ukrainians," said Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko.
Representatives of professions with a high risk of infection will have a month to get vaccinated.
Employees of the above institutions who do not get vaccinated against COVID-19 during this period will be suspended from work without pay.
