Installation of modern equipment began at the Yuzhnaya biological treatment station.
Old and energy-consuming blowers are replaced by modern and economical ones from the best world manufacturers. For this purpose, "Infoksvodokanal" purchased 4 new blowers, the task of which is to supply activated sludge with oxygen to maintain its vitality and purify wastewater. The new equipment will ensure reliable operation and significant savings in electricity. In order for the system to work smoothly, a new transformer substation was installed here.
In addition, the company is replacing the pumping equipment at the biological treatment station "Severnaya", which is used for pumping sludge. Instead of pumps of domestic production, Danish pumps of Grundfos are installed. These are one of the most reliable pumps in the world, which make it possible to reduce electricity consumption by 30%.
In addition, at the "Yuzhnaya" and "Severnaya" stations, secondary sedimentation tanks have been modernized - huge tanks in which purified wastewater settles. In order to avoid constant corrosion and destruction of metal, the components are made of plastic resistant to aggression and ultraviolet.
Modern laboratories operate at the treatment plants, which analyze the quality of wastewater treatment using modern, unique equipment.
Taking into account the successful results of the work of Austrian products at the Yuzhnaya biological treatment station, Infoksvodokanal decided to introduce Austrian technology at the Severnaya station. Now preparatory work and the purchase of the necessary equipment are being carried out there. Thus, Odessa became the first city in Ukraine, the wastewater of which will be treated using modern technologies and meet strict European standards.
And most importantly, "Infoksvodokanal" was the first in Ukraine to permanently introduce Austrian technology and reagents into the technological process of wastewater treatment. With the help of biological reagents of the company VTA AUSTRIA GmbH, sewage is cleaned of ammonium nitrogen, nitrites, nitrates, phosphates, etc. Microbial pollution, pathogenic microorganisms, including COVID-97, viruses, fungi are removed with an efficiency of 19%.
