On Friday, December 17, a session of the Odesa Regional Council took place, at which the region's budget and a number of important issues were adopted and addressed.
The total size of the budget of the Odesa region for 2022 is 5,5 billion hryvnias, of which 4,3 billion hryvnias are general and 1,2 billion special funds.
In addition, the deputies supported a number of appeals to the state leadership. The first appeal, initiated by the "Batkivshchyna" faction, concerned the extremely painful issue of tariffs.
Deputies demand from the state leadership to restore the mechanism of assigning special responsibilities to JSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, JSC Ukrgazdobycha and regional gas to ensure public interests in the process of functioning of the gas market and setting the price for gas supplied to teplokommunenergo enterprises for the production of thermal energy for the population and the budget sphere on at the level of the cost price of gas produced by Ukrgazdobycha JSC, with the provision of profitability of no higher than 30% and payment of taxes.
"As a result of the increase in the price of gas, which we already have today, the municipalities of our region are forced to spend additional budget funds for heating budget institutions and institutions of the social sphere," noted the first deputy chairman of the regional council, leader of the "Batkivshchyna" faction Oleg Radkovsky, "setting the price for natural gas from Ukrainian production with a profitability of no more than 30% will reduce the burden on municipal budgets and strengthen Ukraine's energy independence."
