The whole world is covered by a new, fiercer strain of coronavirus that is resistant to existing immunity. The World Health Organization warned about this.
The first cases of infection were discovered at the end of August, now the new subspecies is actively spreading in Europe. Cases of Piroli have been confirmed in Denmark, France, USA, UK, Sweden, Thailand, Israel, Spain, Canada, Portugal, Australia, Germany, South Africa, South Korea and Japan.
"Covid is infecting and re-infecting millions of people right now. According to our estimates, hundreds of thousands of patients are currently in hospitals because of covid," said WHO expert Maria van Kerkhove.
"Pirola" is a substrain of "Omicron" with more than 30 mutations. American epidemiologist Denis Nash believes that the new variant of the coronavirus can bypass the immunity that has formed, which will increase the number of patients. This may mean that existing vaccines may not be effective enough against this strain of coronavirus.
An expert of the World Health Organization has already called it fiercer than previous strains. Additionally, the pyrrole strain may cause a more severe disease course than the variants we have seen recently.
So far, experts have not found any special symptoms of "Pirola", saying that the strain can manifest itself in the same way as the previous subspecies. Symptoms of "Pyrol": sore throat, prolonged cough, sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, changes in the perception of smells, increased fatigue. Appetite may also disappear.
Covid is back - the world is covered with a new strain of "pyrrole", fiercer than its predecessors.
