In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a pseudo-relative of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi, for "selling" a position in the department.
As the Department of Homeland Security, the man introduced himself as a relative of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and assured that he could agree on "getting" the position of head of the department in the law enforcement structure for 60 thousand dollars.
"A 41-year-old native of Ternopil, who received Russian citizenship in 2017, is involved in illegal actions. The man is a private entrepreneur, from time to time he is in Kyiv on business. However, in addition to the legal business of selling animals, he is engaged in forgery of operational coupons of law enforcement agencies," the law enforcement officers said in a statement.
"Relative of Monastyrsky" was detained "red-handed" - while receiving an advance of 10 thousand dollars. Now, police investigators are preparing to serve the suspect on the man.
