JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" launched "Bukovelsky Express" on the route Lviv - Yasinya - Lviv. This is the fourth route launched this year, which will be served by a modern diesel train purchased from a domestic manufacturer. This was reported by the head of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia, Alexander Kamyshyn.
Express will be convenient for those traveling from Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk to the Carpathians. In particular, with the new train, passengers can reach Tatariv station (Bukovel) in less than five hours, and then by bus shuttles to the Bukovel ski resort in 20 minutes.
In addition, the train will be convenient for traveling to the most famous Probiy waterfall and Dovbusha rocks, which are located in Yaremche; the longest village in Ukraine - Mykulychyn; to the Viaduct in Vorokhta, built in 1895 during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the village of Yasinya in the Transcarpathian Region, from where you can reach the picturesque peak of Mount Dragobrat - the highest ski resort of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
"Bukovelsky Express" will depart from Lviv at 06:40 and arrive at Yasinya terminal station at 12:25 with stops at Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche, Mykulychyn, Tatarov, Vorokhta, etc. stations. The train will run daily until January 16, 2022, except for January 1 and 4. And then it will work on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Also, the express is convenient for passengers traveling from Kyiv and back by train No. 91/92 Kyiv — Lviv — Kyiv. If there are no seats on direct trains, they will be able to reach the Carpathians with only one convenient transfer.
The Bukovel Express route uses a modern DPKR-3 diesel train manufactured by the Kryukovo Railway Plant, which JSC Ukrzaliznytsia recently purchased as part of the "Big Construction" program of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The diesel train consists of three cars - 170 seats. The train has modern interior and exterior elements, it is adapted for the transportation of people with reduced mobility.
Earlier, a similar train was launched on the route Odesa - Izmail, two more - on the routes Popasnaya - Kharkov, Kharkov - Sumy - Vorozhba - Kharkov and Kolomyia - Kyvertsy.
