Ukrainian intelligence commented on the accident on the Crimean railway

For now, there are terrorists there - there will be no peace there

Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, called the derailment of the train in the temporarily occupied Crimea "quite natural", since the occupiers were probably transporting weapons and armored vehicles for the war against Ukraine.

"Probably, other things are transported along the same routes, but in particular weapons, BC, armored vehicles and all other means used for the war of aggression against Ukraine, which are used to kill peaceful Ukrainian civilians and Ukrainian defenders. Therefore, it is quite natural that these ways did not last, got tired and are now not functioning for some time," Yusov said on the air of the telethon.

The intelligence agency emphasized that "the infrastructure will work absolutely normally and safely when Crimea returns to Ukraine's internationally recognized legal field."

"For now, there are terrorists there - there will be no peace there," Yusov said.

The GUR noted that the Crimean peninsula is actively used by the occupiers as a logistics hub and transport hub for the transfer of manpower and equipment to the occupied Ukrainian territories in the south.

"The contingent of occupiers in the Ukrainian Crimea remains more or less stable, without changes," Yusov added.

Before, local authorities said that several train cars derailed near Bakhchisaray in the temporarily occupied Crimea. After the incident, the movement of electric trains on the Simferopol - Sevastopol route was suspended. The so-called "Crimean Railway" claims that the wagons of the freight train derailed "due to the intervention of outsiders."
