The organizers of the Ukrainian beauty contest "Miss Ukraine" cannot find a sufficient number of participants. The fact is that the American sponsors of the competition increased the prize fund to 1 million hryvnias, but at the same time established stricter rules for the selection of participants. Implants, pierced lips, hair extensions and tattoos are now prohibited.
Also, to participate in the competition, you must not have children and not be married.
But, as it turned out, most of the beauties do not meet these criteria, so the organizers had to go "into the countryside" to search for 25 ideal candidates. There, in villages and small provincial towns, they hope to find completely "natural" girls.
In addition to castings in the regions, girls can fill out a questionnaire on the "Miss Ukraine" website. Perhaps they will be called for an interview. However, the organizers complain that they often get a reality that is far from their expectations, because the girls "really like photoshop."
One of the main problems that spoils the reputation of the contest, says Veronika Shchyptsova, director of the organizing committee of the contest, is the provision of escort services by girls. This is strictly prohibited. To establish this, they check social networks and ask a lot of questions.
"We are asking about some intellectual and moral values. If she asks about the cost of participation, about what financial prospects victory in the competition will give her, then this is completely different," noted Veronika Shchyptsova.
According to her, many girls, going to castings, do not understand that after them there will be a lot of work: attending cultural events, charity work and a sports camp - preparation for the competition itself. It also eliminates many applicants. If a girl with a tarnished reputation wins Miss World, it will discredit the entire country.
The contest itself will be held in October at the Palace "Ukraine".
