Nord Stream-2 construction resumed in German waters

Laying of the unfinished section of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline has begun in German waters

Today, December 11, the laying of the unfinished section of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline began in German waters.

This is what Nord Stream 2 AG writes about with reference to data from the construction operator of the gas pipeline TASS.

"Fortuna pipelayer will lay a 2,6-kilometer section of the gas pipeline in the exclusive economic zone of Germany in waters at a depth of less than 30 m. All construction work is carried out in full accordance with the received permits," the message said.

At the same time, the United States has not yet introduced new sanctions against Nord Stream 2 agreed by Congress. The defense budget, in which they are written, has not yet been finally voted on and signed by the president.

Let us remind you that "Nord Stream-2" is a main gas pipeline under construction from Russia to Germany through the Baltic Sea with a length of 1234 km bypassing Ukraine.
