The exit from the Chistye Prudy metro station is completely blocked on one side, the police are directing passengers to a detour. Cafes near Chistye Prudy station are only open for takeout. Traffic for pedestrians from the side of Chistyh Prudov towards Lubyanskaya Square is blocked by the police, but the passage of taxis and car-sharing vehicles is not yet restricted.
Actions in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who was arrested after his return to Russia, were held on January 23 in many cities of the country, including Moscow. According to Tatyana Potyaeva, the human rights commissioner in the capital, more than 1000 people were detained. More than a quarter of them were subject to fines and administrative arrests.
