In Yerevan, their own Maidan began against the government of Armenia

In Yerevan, those demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are trying to set up tents on Respublika Square

In Yerevan, those demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are trying to set up tents on Respublika Square in the center of the Armenian capital. They insist that such a form of protest is their constitutional right, but the police prevent the installation of tents.

It is reported Interfax-Ukraine.

The participants of the protest surrounded not only the government building surrounded by five rows of police, but also the offices of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Education. All of them are located on Republic Square. There were clashes between demonstrators and the police at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs building.

Also, local mass media write that metro employees in Yerevan have announced a strike demanding the resignation of Pashinyan. Hegham Manukyan, a representative of the Dashnaktsutyun party, announced this at a rally on Tuesday in Yerevan.

"The majority of employees of the administrative block of the Yerevan metro declared a strike. They are here now," he said.

According to him, the drivers could not join the strike because of the actions of the police controlling their movements.

Let us remind you that mass protests in Yerevan took place after Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed on a ceasefire in Karabakh. Some residents of Armenia perceived this as capitulation - most of Karabakh came under the control of Baku.
