Protests began in Yerevan against the signing of the agreement on Karabakh

It is reported that several dozen demonstrators have been detained in Yerevan at the moment

Today in the center of Yerevan, on Freedom Square, supporters of the Armenian opposition came to a rally in connection with the signing of the agreement by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, according to which part of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh is transferred to Azerbaijan. The leader of the Prosperous Armenia opposition party was detained.

It is reported that at the moment several dozen demonstrators have been detained in Yerevan, including the leader of the largest opposition party "Prosperous Armenia" Gagik Tsarukyan.

Earlier, during the live broadcast, Pashinyan entered into a face-to-face discussion with an oppositionist who stated that the Karabakh town of Shushi could not have been handed over to the forces of Azerbaijan if the head of government had previously agreed to the entry of Russian peacekeepers.

According to the prime minister, he repeatedly insisted on the necessity of the presence of Russian forces on the territory of Karabakh.
