President of Moldova Maia Sandu, whose inauguration took place today, December 24, spoke in Ukrainian, Russian, Gagauz and Bulgarian languages ​​during the solemn speech at the ceremony.

"Dear citizens, I will fight against those who rob us and reduce us to poverty. I will act in the interests of all citizens to raise the standard of living and inspire confidence in the future," Sandu said in Russian. 

After that, she switched to Ukrainian, promised to become the voice of the people and demand that responsible institutions solve the problems of citizens.

"I will be the voice of the people and I will demand that the responsible state institutions solve the problems of the citizens," said Maya Sandu.

She delivered the main part of her speech in Romanian, the state language of Moldova. Several phrases from her were sounded in Russian, Gagauz, and Bulgarian.
