The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, announced the possible creation of a new USSR — a Russia-Belarus union state. He told the Turkish television and radio company TRT about this.
According to Batska, this union will represent "all the best" that existed in the EU and the USSR: it will be more stable, advanced, take into account all the mistakes of the EU and leave the positive experience of the USSR for use.
"This union will be more advanced and more stable. First, because we will take into account all the mistakes of the European Union so that they are not repeated and we will use positive experience. And secondly, after all, we left a single state - the Soviet Union, and we have already tried many things there. We know what we will leave behind from the Soviet past and what will not be useful to us in the future. We do not set ourselves any deadlines of the 25th, 30th, or something like that. We will go step by step, solving problems," said the President of Belarus.
Lukashenko added that the countries are already pursuing a unified foreign policy, within the framework of which a "united army" was actually created, and further states will exist "on a single economic space."
