The Committee of Permanent Representatives of the EU approved sanctions against six individuals and one company in connection with the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.

This was reported by journalist Rikard Jozwiak in his microblog on Twitter.

— EU ambassadors gave the green light to sanctions against 6 people and 1 company responsible for the poisoning of Alexei Navalny. The decision should be published in the Official Journal of the EU tomorrow, the journalist noted.

Let us remind you that on August 20, on the way from Tomsk to Moscow, Alexei Navalny felt ill on the plane. The liner was urgently landed in Omsk. Navalny was hospitalized, he fell into a coma. On August 22, the politician was taken to the Berlin Charité clinic. Now Navalny is healthy.

Several European laboratories came to the conclusion that Navalny was poisoned with a nerve agent from the Novichok group. In Russia, this information is denied.
