ATO veteran Nikolay Mykytenko, who set himself on fire on Independence Square, died in hospital.
His daughter, Yulia Mykytenko, reported this on Wednesday, October 14, on Facebook.

Let us remind you that the man committed self-immolation on the night of October 11. Indifferent passers-by managed to save him, after which the victim was hospitalized in the city burn center. Later it turned out that the victim was a veteran of the ATO, Mykola Mykytenko. His daughter explained his act of self-immolation as "disagreement with the actions of the authorities, namely the withdrawal of troops on the demarcation line" in the Donbass.
