Since November 1, Belarus temporarily suspends border crossings for foreign citizens and stateless persons in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. This was reported by the State Border Committee of Belarus.
Entry into the country is prohibited at checkpoints on highways, railway stations and river ports, as well as at simplified checkpoints.
At the same time, it is noted that the ban does not apply to those arriving in Belarus through the Minsk National Airport.
Also, this restriction does not apply to:
1. foreign citizens holding diplomatic and service passports;
2. heads and members of official delegations;
3. foreigners providing international free assistance to the Republic of Belarus;
4. drivers of vehicles when carrying out international road transport, as well as transport of international postal items;
5. crew members of vessels of inland water transport, train crews, locomotive crews of international railway traffic;
6. foreigners who are spouses, parents or children of citizens of the Republic of Belarus;
7. foreigners who have the right to permanent or temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
8. foreigners who have a work permit or documents confirming the implementation of labor activities on the territory of the Republic of Belarus;
9. foreigners coming to the Republic of Belarus following notification of a serious illness or the death of a close relative;
10. foreigners carrying out transportation of stem cells, organs for transplantation;
11. citizens of the Russian Federation transiting through the territory of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation;
12. foreigners transiting through the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
