The investigators sent an indictment to the court against the former prosecutor of the Dnipropetrovsk local prosecutor's office, who is accused of receiving a bribe combined with extortion (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). For this, he promised to assist in closing the criminal proceedings on the fact of possession of narcotic substances, in which a woman was involved. In case of refusal to pay the money, the prosecutor threatened to send an indictment against her to the court.
The GBR investigators detained the prosecutor on April 23 after receiving a bribe.
In the case of proof of guilt, the accused faces imprisonment for a period of 3 to 8 years with confiscation of property.
